The network of Migrant Service Centres provides information, advice and referral services to migrants and potential migrants in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Kosovo under UNSCR No 1244.
You can find information about work and study opportunities abroad as well as procedures for obtaining visas, work and residence permits, education abroad and other useful information when considering moving abroad. The information is provided in the form of a Table which contains all relevant links which you can download from our website or get directly from the counsellors in the Centres.
Migrant Service Centres (MSCs) in the Western Balkans were initially established in the framework of the AENEAS 2006 – funded regional project „Capacity Building, Information and Awareness Raising towards Promoting Orderly Migration in the Western Balkans”, managed by International Organization for Migration (IOM) in 2008-2010. The network of the MSCs was further expanded under the regional project „Migration for Development in the Western Balkans (MIDWEB)”, managed by IOM in partnership with the Migration, Asylum, Refugees Regional Initiative (MARRI), the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, Germany and the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw) and funded by the European Commission IPA 2009 Multi-beneficiary Programme 2 from 2010 to 2012.
In 2014 and 2015 IOM used its own funding to maintain and update the MRC website and to publish an information toolkit for MRC counsellors working in the region in the framework of a regional project on facilitating labor mobility in the region, funded by the International Development Fund.
